All in all everything was perfect, had a wonderful stay for a $ 1000 a night. I enjoyed the historic-style building, great-sized and newly decorated room with slippers by our bed. The pool was nice and I had delicious drinks in the main bar. Took the advantage of the parking on-site. The location was good, a 10-15 minute walk from Merlion Park Statue.

really good courtyard room, excellent marble bathroom, extensive dining options
More seating areas needed for lounging between meals!!! Lighting in rooms felt insufficient!!! The iPad controls were overly complicated when simple remotes would suffice!!!

It was a great experience and we really did not have any problems ... but two really good service concepts that they have come up with are firstly there are no coffee makers in the room and each time you want a coffee / tea service you need to call your butler to get freshly brewed coffee/tea served in your room and they serve it fresh bread, muffins etc. Secondly Breakfast if included in your room rate can be had at 3 different locations in the hotel and if one chooses to have room service, the breakfast set menu could be ordered at any time of the day or night since guests are dealing with different time zones and jet lag etc.

Tales from the Unexpected
Entering the gates seemed like stepping into history, but a few surprises awaited us. The service was a mixed bag. While some staff were attentive and kind, others was nice. Our luxurious suite was fine, yet the atmosphere had its quirks. It's a treasure worth exploring, but prepare for a unique experience.

Our comfortable suite, the location, and the breakfast facilities. Beautiful old hotel, reminiscent of a by-gone era.Of course, a Singapore Sling in in the Long Bar is a wonderful tradition.

From check in we were very pleasantly surprised how good and natural the service was. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Minor touches such as an easter egg for our son, bar staff giving him a cookie etc were very much appreciated. The actual building/complex is beautiful and is a completely different experience to staying at a more modern city hotel. Raffles good reputation precedes it but having stayed at a number of other luxury hotels we wondered whether we might be disappointed - in actuality however our expectations were surpassed. It would now be difficult to return to Singapore and stay anyway else

I had an amazing night in the Personality King Suite where I enjoyed the fine pool and had a fantastic meal in the Tiffin Room. The spa was relaxing, with a soothing massage and a fabulous steam room to unwind in. Only downside was that some areas felt a bit busy, but overall it was a wonderful experience 😊

Raffles conjured up a slice of the past, The suite was fabulous, the service was second to none. For me the important factor was the staff did everything possible to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We were even able to book in early as the suite was avaliable. This was a great relief as we arrived at 6 am in the morning. My mum was able to relax before venturing out to see the sights.
